Activities

The Lake Erie Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America meets monthly, typically on the second Sunday of the month.
Members and guests are welcome and encouraged to participate in these activities.
Details are available through the monthly Sidelight newsletter and this website.
Individuals interested in joining in organizing or hosting activities should contact a board member or event host.

2024 Club Activities

January  Saturday January 20th was the date of our Annual Installation Banquet, held at the Classics V on Niagara Falls Blvd in Amherst. As last year, it was hosted by Sue Yearke and Karen Schwartz, and the theme for this year was Jigsaw Junction. 
February On February 18th from 1 to 5pm, Gregory Kinal gave a presentation on revisiting the 50’s at the Polish Falcons in Depew.
March Our March meeting was a slide presentation by Barb Noonan and Lon Wilson recapping the Club’s 2023 Calendar of Events. 
April On April 14th from 1 to 5pm, Ruth and George Camann are hosting a Pinewood Derby Competition for members and guest entries under the supervision of the Western New York Scout Council, Boy scouts of America. The Scouts will provide a track, organize the registration, inspect the entries for compliance with the rules, and run four car heats with a computerized timing system. Entry is open to members and non members. The fee is $10 per car. See the flyer or the Sidelight for details and directions for registration.
May Our 2024 Rustbuster is scheduled for SATURDAY May 18th. Valerie and Lon Wilson are hosting a “tour through the Cosmos” at the Williamsville North High School Planetarium. Reservations are limited to 75 people. A travel tour and meal at Erie Canalside Banquets, just downstream of the Lockport Locks will follow. For more details, see the flyer.
June June 9th is the date for our annual car show hosted by Chuck Facklam and Mike Mesi. This year’s event will be at a new location, the Como Park Bowen Road Grove. See the flyer or Sidelight for details.
July Our Summer Picnic will be hosted by Chuck Weimer and Cliff Schultz on Sunday July 21st. We have secured the same location as last year, the Town View Pavilion in the Clarence Town Place Park. By popular demand, the “flea market” auction is back!
August On August 11th, Joe Momot is hosting a cruise of the Buffalo River, Outer Harbor and Black Rock Channel aboard the Grand Lady. A buffet meal will be served on board by GLC Catering. This event will be held rain or shine. The reservation deadline is July 26th.
